Silent night, holy night…
Who doesn’t love Christmas? This month I am having a Christmas in July card class. We will be making Christmas cards, listening to Christmas music, drinking cider and eating Christmas cookies. Since it is around 100 degrees, we will just have to pretend it is snowing outside. (I will turn down the A/C).
I think one of my favorite things about Christmas is my kids come home and we are all together. We are making new traditions and continuing with some old ones. Do you have any Christmas traditions? It seems everyone does. My boys are grown, but they still get one present to open on Christmas Eve. It use to always be a pair of pj’s but I decided to change it up a bit last year since they were all convinced that was what they were getting. I am not always predictable.
Silent Night is my all time favorite Christmas song because when my twins were just born, they were born at the end of January, I was trying to rock them to sleep. I was thoroughly exhausted and I could not think of anything to sing except Silent Night. So from then on, that became our ritual. They grew up with me singing that to them and once they were old enough, when Christmas came around it was referred to as the night-night song! I continued the tradition with my granddaughter who is 3 1/2 now and I will continue with my new grandson, who is coming in November.
Traditions are important in my family, are they in yours?
Keep it Krazy!
